Mayflower will be focusing our worship service on 10/23 around peace, justice, and the memory of Nick Lewis. We will gather at 10:30 for a brief worship service and then walk through the neighborhood in conversation and prayer in memory of Nick, the young man who was slain on our block several days ago.
We will then come back to the sanctuary and have a brief time of prayer and sharing followed by collecting an offering for Nick's eight year old son. We are inviting the neighbors around our church and anyone else to join Mayflower that day.
Life at Mayflower Church
We believe that
"God is still speaking,"
that God's voice has not gone mute.
Mayflower is a progressive church with a traditional feel. We seek to find God's presence today, in a way that makes our faith relevant in our 21st century everyday, real world.
We are Open and Affirming of all people. Mayflower lovingly includes all persons and actively embraces differences of sexual orientation, gender, marital status, age, mental and physical ability, race, ethnicity, economic condition, and opinion. We welcome all to share in the life and leadership of our congregation, in its ministry, fellowship, worship, and sacraments, and in all the responsibilities and blessings that come with participation.
Accessible as of the Spring of 2009, Mayflower completed extensive construction on a new tower. The new tower is equipped with an elevator, and two handicap accessible restrooms.
